Mindfulness: Year of the Snake detail was finished in January 2026. This 15.5 x 113.5" oil painting on canvas recognizes one of Chinese mythology's positive views of snake’s characteristics, concentration, as reflected by this child's concentration while he plays with water.
My most recent artworks directly address awareness that our younger generations are living under the pall of current and impending global climate crises. While these works celebrate Earth's beauty and children's love of life and learning my paintings also reveal undercurrents of anxiety.
I wish to humanize climate change: to transform the blur of distant predictions into intimate, felt experience. My art practice involves painting, installation, poetry, sound, and myth to create environments where grief can be acknowledged, beauty can be held, and hope can emerge.

My upcoming multimedia solo exhibition, Off The Page at The Peale Museum, Baltimore City explores the intersection of painting, poetry, sound and storytelling that transforms language into visual experience.
